How do you let turtles live in an outdoor pond?
Q. I have an outdoor plastic pond that's in the ground. I have 2 turtles that have out grown their aqarium inside. I know they like to come out of the water sometimes and I had a plastic mound in the aqarium . But now they are in the pond outside I can't figure out how to get them out of the water without them escaping off the side. I'll take any suggestions! thanks

A. My husband built a frame around the pond and covered it with mesh wire. Hebuilt a small door to allow access to feed and clean. He left enough space around the pond area...like 2 feet to allow them a basking area. We placed it in a semi-sunny area of the yard along with a good filtering system by Pondmaster. Depending on your climate you may or may not need a heater.
